iPhone 6: demand even higher than in September

The conditions for continued high sales of the iPhone 6 could not be better: Apple is now behind the production, while demand has even increased in recent months - at least in the United States.

The Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster 1004 has American consumers surveyed which smartphone they want to buy in the next three months - if they are planning to buy a smartphone. Currently planning 50 percent of smartphone buyers buying an iPhone. In September, shortly after the launch of the iPhone 6, this figure was 47 percent.

Although the iPhone 6 is thus only a few months on the market, demand is increasing yet - at least in the United States. The previous model, the iPhone 5s, the value had decreased in Munsters survey at the same time.

Since Apple now can simultaneously produce sufficient quantities - now all iPhone-6 models are at least a few days - should the sales figures to date are very high and still remain very high in the coming months.

Munster sees this as a confirmation that Apple's decision in favor of larger displays was the right one.
