iOS 9.3 paralyzes some older iPads


Some older iPod models do not seem to be able to install 9.3 that Apple released earlier this week update on iOS correctly. This is clear from user reports Apple's support forum on the Twitter page of the Apple support and comments from the readers of the blog AppleInsider. Accordingly fails to activate the device, which makes them eventually unusable.

The problem seems to affect the iPad 2, especially at least according to Apple Insider. Its owners are notified of an authentication error when trying after installation to activate their device.

It is unclear how widespread the problem is. So far, Apple seems to have no solution. "After installing iOS 9.3, the software could not be activated.
