iPhone and iPhone 6 6 Plus can play 4K videos
iPhone and iPhone 6 6 Plus can do more than one would guess - video in 4K resolution playback, for example. The developers of the app Waltr noticed when testing the same, save that the high-resolution video content easily on Apple's latest smartphones and leave even play.
Also a good two months after its release are iPhone and iPhone 6 6 Plus is still good for one or the other feature surprise. The surprising finding of 4K support makes an app with the beautiful name Waltr possible. With this Mac software it is possible to load media files without going through iTunes directly drag & drop on the iPhone or iPad. The developers were doing rather to upload files like MKV or FLAC in mind that is not supported by iTunes house, even a 4K video could with their app but charge an iPhone 6. A video evidence showing the successful attempt.
Can we now expect a 4K version of Apple TV?
Of course playing a video with 3840 x 2160 pixels on a device with a significantly lower resolution rather pointless - apply to the display of the iPhone 6 1334 x 750 pixels square, the larger iPhone 6 Plus there are at least 1920 x 1080. But this does after all the realization that Apple A8 chip is easily able to handle this kind of high definition video footage. The thesis that a possible fourth generation Apple TV could also offer 4K content, should enjoy the rumor mill.
