iPhone 7: Leak confirms new memory sizes


As in previous years, there will be the iPhone 7 in three memory variants. A new leak now confirmed old rumors - and therefore there is reason to celebrate.

iPhone 7: 256-gigabyte version planned

The iPhone 7 could be iPhone with the biggest space starting this fall. According to a report by Digitimes Apple will offer a version of the iPhone 7, which has a total of 256 GB of storage. The previously available maximum of 128 GB would thus doubling Apple.

These rumors are confirmed now by a leak which is @the_malignant spread by Twitter users. Toshiba should therefore produce NAND memory in the versions of 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of Apple.

Not only the top model of the iPhone 7, the memory is set to double, even at the bottom of increased Apple on accordingly. Already in early July reported the Wall Street Journal that Apple increased this year the minimum storage of 16 to 32 GB.

The complete portfolio would therefore then iPhone 7 and iPhone include 7 Plus, each available with 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of storage space - at least as far as we know. If the rumors are confirmed, Apple so similar to the iPhone lineup to the iPad lineup - there this memory sizes are already the standard.

So far all this is of course unconfirmed. Clarity there is expected on 7 September. For this date the official launch of the iPhone 7 expected. Expected from 9 September, you can pre-order the iPhone 7 then.

Expand iPhone memory

Unlike many Android phones, the memory of the iPhone can not easily expand via microSD card. Different manufacturers still try to offer additional space. From SanDisk there for about the Case iXpand that provides lasting more space available - but that has its pitfalls.

Also established have memory sticks, which are simply plugged the Lightning port. From the iPhone, you then have access to the memory of these sticks.
